  • Marketing Research Intern at Royal Bank of Canada, Kingston, Ontario, Canada (July – December 1999)
  • He started his career as intern in a multinational bank in Canada; Royal Bank of Canada. His responsibility was to observe and study the banking products and services competition in Kingston city. He also did a market competitive analysis versus Royal Bank of Canada Kingston city’s branch strengths and weaknesses. He developed a strategic marketing recommendation to the branch.
  • Research Executive at ACNielsen Indonesia (March 2000 – June 2002)
  • He joined the leading multinational marketing research company in Indonesia; ACNielsen Indonesia, in year 2000 as Qualitative Research Executive. He was involved in various of research studies like brand positioning exploration, advertising concept evaluation, consumer behavior exploration, product concept evaluation, market segmentation studies and many more. The brands had been handled are HM Sampoerna’s A Mild, Sampoerna Hijau, Dji Sam Soe, Philip Morris’s Marlboro, Bentoel Mild, Silver Queen, TOP Chocolate Wafer, Telkom, Honda Motor, Danamon Bank, and many other consumer good’s brands.

  • Research Manager at Exquisindo Global Research (July 2002 – April 2003)
  • Moving up to the next career, Ardantya joined Exquisindo Global Research, a qualitative marketing research newly-set-up company in July 2002 as Research Manager. He helped to set up the company, leading the research team and handled several brands like Astra Daihatsu Motor, IM3 Brand Exploration, HM Sampoerna, Coca Cola Indonesia, and some more. Here, Ardantya helped the company to explore new type of qualitative methods like Ethnography.
  • Business Development Manager at DDB Indonesia (April 2003 – September 2005)
  • Getting curious to know more on how market and consumer insights findings brought further into marketing action, Ardantya joined a multinational advertising agency called DDB Indonesia as Business Development Manager. In advertising company, he contributed his research, strategic thinking and business marketing skills into every single brand campaign proposals. He handled several strategic marketing communication proposals for brands like Mie ABC Indonesia, M-150 Energy Sachet Drink, VW Caravelle, Sony Ericsson, and some more others.
  • Founder / CEO at PT Marketing Komunikasi Indonesia (EXIGO Brand Activation & ID Brand Creative Agency) (October 2005 – Now)
  • It has been 12 years for Ardantya has run his own marketing communication company. The reason why he set up the company is to cater the call for opportunity where most brands now demand more results-based marketing program to balance brand awareness campaign program. By having extensive experiences in marketing research, advertising and brand activation, Ardantya always put strategic thinking at first in order to create the strategic communication approach. He believes that consumer insights have so much information to lead our brand at maximum results. The company has two unit services;
  • EXIGO Brand Activation Agency where mostly handled consumer engagement programs like brand launching, road show event, in-store activation, talk show seminars, exhibition and many more. The unit has served many type of clients like; Shell Indonesia, Unilever Indonesia, Nestle Indonesia, Kalbe Farma, Combiphar, Glaxo Smith Kline, Sari Husada Indonesia, Danone Dairy Indonesia, Kidzania, London Dairy Ice Cream, Bank Central Asia, Interbat Pharmaceutical, JJ Royal Coffee, Mayora Indah Tbk, Ranch Market, Sari Segar and many more.
  • ID Creative Brand Communication is the creative boutique unit to serve various of creative communication designs. The unit has handled several clients like ANZ Bank, Bank Bumiputera, Kidzania, Danone Dairy Indonesia, Sour Sally Mini, Unilever Indonesia, and many more.
  • Guide-Me-There.com is a mobile application initiated in 2015 due to Ardantya’s passion in promoting retail businesses where the mobile apps is aiming to become the biggest worldwide application for finding the useful and suitable places based on each of individual’s interest and promoting places as directory so that people will easily find the place.
  • Founder / CEO at PT Kuliner Nusantara Sejahtera Indonesia (K-Food Indonesia) (October 2005 – Now)
  • Starting in February 2005 where Ardantya was really keen to start his own business and felt there were no good original traditional meatball restaurants in Jakarta, he bought franchise brand Bakso Kota Cak Man and opened an outlet in Plaza Semanggi. He started to expand the brand from one outlet to 3 outlets in Jakarta. Until one day in 2013, the company gain trust to manage the franchise management for brand Sour Sally Mini in Indonesia. Until today, there are more than 15 franchised outlets have established from the company. The company also took over brand Aussy Burger which was established in 2005 and now tries to revamp the brand. Ardantya really wants to see how Indonesian brand can stand up in global market and own his own brand, therefore he launched a premium martabak brand called Marlous.
  • Bakso Kota Cak Man Outlets owned by the company: branches in Plaza Semanggi, Cibubur Junction, Margo City Depok, Jogja City Mall, Hartono Mall Jogja, Bandar Lampung Mal Kedaton, and Resinda Park Mal Karawang.

The company plans to establish a learning courses for self exploration, character building, leadership and skill development for students in Indonesia.
